Photos that explain the site, not just fill a report.
A useful photograph answers a question. Plan the sequence around what the next technician or reviewer needs to understand, while following your site-safety and privacy procedures.
Capture the location before the detail
Begin with enough context to identify the area, then add detail of the observation. A close-up without a room reference can be difficult to use later.
- Use consistent room names.
- Photograph a recognisable overview where appropriate.
- Keep detail photos connected to their location.
Explain what the image supports
A caption should describe the relevant observation without making an unsupported diagnosis. If the image shows a meter, retain the measurement context in the record.
- Check focus, exposure and legibility.
- Add a short factual caption.
- Avoid including people or personal documents unnecessarily.
Verify the record before leaving
A preview on a phone does not prove an upload finished. Review the saved job record while connected and correct missing or unclear evidence where it is safe to do so.
- Confirm upload completion.
- Check for duplicate or unrelated images.
- Use a repeatable viewpoint for later comparisons when practical.
