Make the next visit start with context.

A useful handover lets the next technician understand the record without guessing. It complements your company’s safety and work instructions; it does not replace them.

Summarise the current record

Begin with a short statement of what the last attendance covered. Link the explanation to locations that appear consistently in the job.

  • Which rooms or areas were attended?
  • Which observations changed?
  • Which notes or photographs explain the change?

Identify what is unresolved

Make gaps visible so they can be followed up deliberately. Do not let a missing field look like a completed check.

  • Which locations could not be accessed?
  • Are any readings or photos incomplete?
  • What equipment or setup changes need to be understood?

Close the loop in the job record

The receiving technician should review the saved information before attendance and record their own observations. Keep important context in the job rather than only in a message thread.
